A little about me?
For as long as I can remember, I've loved animals. A large part of my childhood was spent around horses, my first passion. Then one day we took in a husky puppy, and that's when I got the husky bug. Sadly, she passed away at the age of 9. During my college studies in animal health, I discovered the Kannook kennel, which corresponded to what I was looking for. It was during my university studies that I finally reserved with Kannook a puppy for a pairing to come a year later. A marriage between Tyler and Naya, which allowed me to have my Sora. It was with Sora that I discovered dog sports, tricks and pull-ups. We tried out lots of sports for fun, with no real objectives.
Then one spring, my mentor Annie strongly encouraged me to start conformation. She showed me the basics and I finally stepped into a conformation ring with Sora for the first time in Saint-Lazare in 2022. It was after that summer of conformation and canine sport that the idea began to germinate in my brain. What if I became a breeder? But with the aim of bringing the versatility of Siberians to light! And that's how Kachina came into the world.
Why Kachina?
The statuette of Kachina, the sacred dancer, has always been part of my childhood. I used to dream of naming my dog after her. However, when I chose my puppy, it was the name Sora that came to mind, “singing bird that takes flight”. So I thought Kachina would be a perfect name for my kennel.
